Mira was born in Ukraine and started to learn piano at the age of six at Kramatorsk City State Primary Music School. She then completed her education at Kharkov Special Secondary Boarding School of Music, majoring in classical piano, music theory, and harmony.

After that, she went to study for 5 years at Melitopol Pedagogical Institute (also known as Melitopol State University in Ukraine). She graduated with qualifications of Specialist in Music and Pedagogy. A title of Primary and Secondary School teacher of Music and Singing, and Methodologist in Education has been awarded to Mira. Her qualifications from Ukraine are recognised as a Bachelor Degree in Australia.

In Ukraine, Mira worked for 3 years as an accompanist at Melitopol Pedagogical Institute and 8 years as a music teacher at a Boarding School in Kramatorsk. Her role as a music teacher included classroom music lessons, theory lessons, individual piano lessons, choir conducting, and drama teaching.

In Australia, Mira had experience working with children by teaching private piano lessons. In 2011- 2014, at Redbank State School she organised and voluntary taught piano lessons to a group of students and individually. Her students successfully performed on the school stage.

Mira loves teaching music and to work with students of all different music levels and age groups. She teaches a wide variety of genres, and her work with students is based on:

  • identifying student’s musical interests and individual needs

  • implementing learning strategies suitable to the individual needs of the student

  • striving to excellency and working with joy

  • developing creativity positive teacher - student - parent relationship
