With more than a decade of experience, composer, producer, educator and multi-instrumentalist HO YIN engaged with music early in life, taking up classical piano, violina and singing lessons. She obtained performance diplomas (ARSM) on both her instru ments as well as a high distinction on her Grade 8 vocal exam between 2024-2025.

Her involvement in the local music scene in Penang, Malaysia, and her experiences as a music teacher, choir instructor, and performer helped shape her into a well-rounded musician.

Her enthusiasm for music and friendly approach is shown in her lessons and provides a role model for her younger students.

During her teenage years, YIN’s classical piano training pushed her boundaries with music production and composition. It broadened her perspective on music, and she gained new skills working in digital creative spaces.

She participated and won in multiple songwriting competitions, such as the Golden Frontier Awards, where she gained a keen sense of collaboration and performance while playing and writing with a band. This grew into a burning passion for music creation as she aspired to become a music producer.

With a diverse background that spans from classical training to modern music production, theMalaysian Chinese artist left her hometown and moved to Brisbane, Australia, where a booming music industry resides. She went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in music production and continued as a private music teacher, forging a name for herself as an exceptional educator.
