Daniel Truong is a violist and teacher at Vincent Music. He studied under Patricia Pollett at the University of Queensland, completing a Bachelor of Music Performance with Honours in 2018. Daniel placed first in the 2016 Sid Page Chamber Music Prize (as part of the Dvořák Quintet) and 2018 Sid Page Chamber Music Prize (as part of the Yūgen Quartet), was a finalist in the 2016 Sleath String Prize, and competed in multiple other competitions from 2015-2018. He has also worked with various ensembles including the AYO’s Bishop Orchestra, Queensland Youth Orchestras, UQ Pulse Chamber Orchestra and UQ Symphony Orchestra. In 2017 he had the opportunity to participate in a masterclass with Antoine Tamestit.
Daniel enjoys teaching as a supplement to his musical endeavours, and hopes to have a fulfilling career in music.
